Summary: The cost of an Odoo implementation in Kenya is not only the software subscription. A realistic budget includes discovery, configuration, data preparation, training, testing, integrations, custom development where justified, launch support and ongoing improvement.
Start with two separate costs
Software cost covers the Odoo subscription and any hosting additions. Implementation cost covers the work required to turn the platform into a usable business system. Keeping these separate makes quotations easier to compare.
Current official subscription reference
On 23 September 2026, Odoo's public pricing page displayed annual-plan reference prices of US$24.90 per user per month for Standard and US$49.00 per user per month for Custom. Pricing, promotions, taxes and exchange rates can change; confirm the current official quotation before budgeting.
The Standard plan is positioned for Odoo Online. The Custom plan includes Odoo Online, Odoo.sh or on-premise options together with capabilities such as Studio, multi-company and external API access. Hosting and infrastructure additions may apply depending on the selected architecture.
The main implementation cost drivers
- Number of business processes and companies
- Quality and volume of data to migrate
- Accounting localisation and opening balances
- Number and complexity of integrations
- Custom modules and reports
- User count, roles and training needs
- Testing, cutover and post-launch support
- Project management and change management
Three useful planning bands
Focused standard implementation
A small number of standard applications, clean data and limited process change. The budget is driven mainly by configuration, migration, testing and training.
Multi-process implementation
Several connected areas—such as CRM, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting and Projects—plus more users, controls and reporting. More discovery, coordination and testing are required.
Custom or integration-heavy programme
Specialised workflows, external systems, custom modules, multiple companies or complex data. Budget separately for design, development, technical testing, hosting and maintenance.
Why a responsible article should not promise one Kenya price
Two businesses with the same user count can require very different work. A price published without process scope, data condition, integrations and acceptance criteria can be misleading. Répartiq therefore uses discovery to develop a scope and estimate rather than presenting a guaranteed package price.
Questions to ask every provider
- What is included and excluded?
- Which work uses standard configuration and which requires custom code?
- Who prepares and validates migration data?
- How are change requests priced?
- What testing and training are included?
- What happens after go-live?
- Are subscription, hosting and implementation shown separately?
